For a while I've been getting some bits of what comes next in "Glass Houses" but, unfortunately, they truly are bits instead of full scenes, and some of the bits overlap and jostle. I'm really not having a good April. My head has been killing me on and off--worse than usual--since Thursday and my "spring thing" fatigue is hitting me hard and long. I'm not writing, I'm not doing my taxes, and I'm not filling out my annual Medicaid renewal because it's hard to think and difficult to stay conscious.

Someone has sent me comments on "Glass Houses," which led to me getting some bits of what comes next in the story. Unfortunately, they truly are bits instead of full scenes, so it's annoying and unsatisfying. I was having a pretty decent writing year in 2017 compared to recent years--nowhere near as prolific as I was in my early fandom years but in my early years I was on an insane roll--before two months of computer problems slashed my writing streak's tires.... The swelling is almost completely gone from my left ankle and I'm mostly walking without a brace, which is especially great because it's rough wearing braces or orthopedic boots in weather this hot ( Read more... )

In my area of New York we had a swift drop in temperature by 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit, along with the kind of rain we haven't gotten much of in the last few months, and my head rebelled and stuck me in bed and mostly unconscious Friday and Saturday. I finally resized the "Glass Houses" art and put together a page for it. What do you think? Should it be more than one page, or is it good like this?

Years ago, Hitomi Kaze made some great fanart for "Glass Houses" and I was stupid enough to trust that they would remain on the internet forever so I didn't save them to my machine for posterity.
